Butterfly in Brazil...

My daughter is on a round-the-world tour and under orders to try to get some butterfly pictures..
Here is an 88 - but have mislaid my "500 Butterflies of the World" to check exactly which one it is...?

That is Diaethria clymena, which is common throughout Brazil.

Around the world in 88 butterflies? :D

That's a bizarre underside pattern. Looks like some sort of target.

Thanks, Guy; Diaethria clymena - Cramer's Eighty-eight, apparently - don't know who the others belong to!

There is lots like it, from different species of "88" butterflies that have the 88 marking to other species that have an "89" mark and ones that have marking that looks like "BD", rather unusual, but great bunch, don't know what having such markings would do.
