Hi all,

Please note that we now have some "standards" that we all need to abide by (both members and moderators). This is simply a sign of the website becoming so successful :)

I feel tempted to say "carry on as you were" because these "rules" are simply there for exceptional circumstances (especially given that the membership has been pretty much compliant to date).

You'll also find UKB's newly-defined mission statement within the text.

Cheers,

- Pete

Seems fair to me... can I just mention I noticed if I submit a photo, then the thumbnail is clicked on, the full name from my file is visible at the top. _ this is to warn anyone who likes to record exact sites or grid refs for the ultra-sensitive species sites to erase one's personal file name before submitting- sorry if wrong forum used.
- and am I to assume the little entries in the "signature" bit should be removed by all of us? OK if so.

Good point. Will add a note to this effect.

Not at all - why do you think that? The only reason to modify/remove is if the content is defamatory, libelous, rude, racist, disrespectful, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, threatening, obscene, profane, pornographic, racially or ethnically offensive, invasive of a person's privacy, or in violation of any law. Or advertising.

For so work the honey-bees,
Creatures that by a rule in nature teach
The act of order to a peopled kingdom.
They have a king and officers of sorts;
Where some, like magistrates, correct at home,
Others, like merchants, venture trade abroad,
Others, like soldiers, armed in their stings,
Make boot upon the summer’s velvet buds;
Which pillage they with merry march bring home
To the tent-royal of their emperor:
Who, busied in his majesty, surveys
The singing masons building roofs of gold,
The civil citizens kneading up the honey,
The poor mechanic porters crowding in
Their heavy burdens at his narrow gate,
The sad-ey’d justice, with his surly hum,
Delivering o’er to executors pale
The lazy yawning drone.
