Photo Albums

Compact cameras normally use the aspect ratio 4:3. I much prefer this in many situations to the SLR aspect ratio of 3:2 although of course I might crop to suit a particular image.
The ratio of 4:3 might translate to a convenient print size of 15 x 11.25 cms (6 x 4.5 inches).

But I cannot find slip-in photo albums that are for 6 x 4.5. All that seem to be available are for 6 x 4.
Web searches draw a blank except for numerous discussion threads about the unavailability of 6 x 4.5.

Does anyone know where to get 6 x 4.5 slip in albums?

Thanks. I had seen those and might consider if I can't find a proper album. But refills in a folder is hardly coffee table material.

Jack,

as an alternative to getting your best shots printed and then put in photo albums, it might be worth a try producing your own book in blurb (http://www.blurb.com) and then ordering a copy.

I've used them for 3 books and the photography reproduction is faultless (that's rare for me to say as I'm a right old perfectionist).

There are a number of size options for the books. You just register, can upload the book software, put in your photos and even write some comments or simply a few title lines.

worth thinking about, especially considering that good prints costs money very quickly. You could even try creating one of the 'notepad' formats first off as they wouldn't be expensive and you could see the quality without paying much.

This applies to anyone here who has great images and wants to see them printed properly.

The Arrowfile suggestion put me in the right direction and I have just had these delivered. They are proper albums and seem fine.
