Wryneck at Denbies

Post by Gibster »

Just finished work and found this on my email (via Surreybirders)

"Denbies Hillside -
Whilst on a butterfly walk with my local RSPB group this afternoon (Adonis Blues and Silver-spotted Skippers showing well), we stumbled across a Wryneck. It was in a bush covered in Bindweed on the southern edge of the garden to the east of the main car park. It then flew back into the garden, and I never saw it again, although I understand others have seen it briefly since."

That was from Sean Foote, a known local birder. Wrynecks sometimes stay quite loyal to a small area, good luck if anyone goes for it
