I am thinking of trying my luck at Small Blue this weekend, but as it will involve a drive, does anyone have any info of any 2nd brood sites where Small Blue can be seen this year please?
I know where the Tottenhoe site is but don't want to drive for two hours unless there is a reasonable chance.

I live in Leicestershire, so any site within a few hours would be worth a chance is anyone has any info Please.

Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Small blue can be found at Prestbury Hill Nature Reserve near Cheltenham, close to Cleeve Hill the highest point in the Cotswolds. I don't know if there are any 2nd generation ones around at the moment though. I think there is a contact number for the site on Butterfly Conservation website, it may be advisable to give it a ring to save a wasted journey down south

there were small blue at Prestbury on Sunday, right at the bottom of the reserve there was a lovely small colony - flittering around like confetti.
