Hi - They look like teneral Red-veined Darter but I could be wrong. The middle shot shows the classic "obelisk" position where they present as little of the body to the sun as possible - I presume it was quite warm :lol:

When I got back to my car the thermometer said 46°C!

I've seen darters do this when approached and assumed it was a threat position.
