Looks like a Spotted Flycatcher to me

not sure but I think it's a stonechat?

I was thinking Whinchat

It could be a female Whinchat but is very colourless for Whinchat and doesn't show any real sign of an eyestripe but thats what I'd go for.

Well here is my 2 pennies worth - I saw a female Redstart the other day at Godshill and I think that it could be that - this would account for the lack of spotting and streaking on the breast and the pinkish/reddish tinge to the underside of the tail. At least this is what the less zoomed in image reminds me of...then I see the large zoomed in image and then it becomes a Spotted Flycatcher...

At first I thought it was a rather plain/faded female Stonechat in awkward light. But the more I look, the more I'm inclined to agree with the others and would say female Whinchat. Pretty poorly marked supercillium though. Can't tell primary projection. Wing/mantle contrast very tricky to interpret too. The overall darkness of the folded wing and apparent appearance of the white flash may be better suited for Stonechat though...

The definitive plumage clue is that Whinchats have a white base to the outermost tail feathers, which is completely lacking in Stonechat. But I can't tell either way in your pic

I see it's a breeding bird (beakful of prey items.) What was the location, that could be a very big help!

Changed my mind again! I think it's a Stonechat now. The throat just looks too dark for a Whinchat (or is it just a shadow?) and the breast sides seem to show some sort of a streaky wash. My screen is just too poor for me to decide whether or not the outer tail feathers are pale based or not. Redstart is a good call, but it just doesn't look beady-eyed enough and I simply can't get my screen to show a pale reddish wash to the undertail either. And the jizz seems a bit wrong.

It's a Stonechat.

Definitely a Stonechat Seth. I've changed my mind and agree with you.

Not sufficient supercillium for Whinchat and definitely has a dark throat patch. Jizz is right for Stonechat as well.
