I popped in to the butterfly house at the NHM yesterday and now i'm pondering.... It was fantastic to see literally hundreds of big tropical butterflies on the wing but it seemed rather crowded. There was lots of chasing, assuming territorial behaviour. Is it a very stressful environment for the animals to be somewhere that crowded?

and oh why don't people look where they are putting their feet in these places????
