I just rescued this beastie from the street, but couldn't find it on the identification page. Could someone identify it for me?

Thanks,

Apparently they can be reasonably common in leafy surburban areas due to the amount of lime trees that line residential streets.

I found one in Hammersmith a few years ago.

Think it may be a female, cant zoom in to say for sure, but male Hawk moths usually have a distinct upturn to the end of the abdomen.

I'm with Grumpy Dave on this, looks like classic female colouration too.
