There are a lot of thistles in our field and they all seem to flower at around the same time. If I cut some back a bit will those flower later or will it just mean they won't flower at all? Expert advice appreciated.

I'm no expert but the 'chelsea chop' works for other flowers so I dont see why it wouldnt work for thistles too.
