Birdmen of Wormwood Scrubs

Post by Jack Harrison »

So jailbirds also take part in the survey.

A prison butterfly survey next season? I guess not much to see through cell bars but there should be some good opportunities at open prisons.

Black and Brown Hairstreaks breed within the perimeter of Bullingdon Prison in Oxfordshire, though whether the inmates help monitor the populations I do not know.

That's an impressive list of birds for west London

It's only 12 species more than I've recorded on Epsom Common, and all but 2 of those have been self-found (but I've had more exotics here than he's had there!) Any place will turn up a decent list if time and effort are put in.

I'm betting Epsom Common's butterfly list is better though, and the moth list is several hundreds long :D

Cheers,

Gibster.

Hi Gibster,

Yes I suppose it was over a 30 year period!

I will hold my breath for Greenford Park Cemetery then

Cheers
