I didn't get a good look at the upperside...all I can say is it was violet/blue.

I wondered after my answer that based on your location, it could have been a mazarine blue. But the underwing spots are different so I'll stick with holly blue.

Here's a 100% crop from a shot taken from 30' today. ..same location.

I've looked through Lafranchis anndI think Holly Blue is the only thing that comes close.
