Small or Green-veined white?
Small or Green-veined white?
I have to admit to finding it difficult to differentiate between these two. In my defence both species seem to vary a lot! Here is the photograph - just to the left of the white can be seen a Brimstone moving in to attack

I PhotoShopped the brightness/contrast and it clearly is a Small White.
But what about that Brimstone left foreground casting the shadow on the white? It wasn’t mentioned in the previous posts.

Incidentally at a recent village party, I was sounding off to a GPs wife what I thought about the NHS. She lost her cool and called me an “obnoxious little man” (and promptly apologised). While the adjective “obnoxious” didn’t cause much offence, I was quite surprised to be called “little”.
