I have submitted one of these shots before but have found some more (oh goody!).

Could someone have another look at them and just confirm they are of Amanda's Blue for me or if the other shots give a different angle on the ID.

Sorry to send them again

All the best and thanks as always

Paul

That looks very like Amanda's blue to me (Agrodiaetus amandus). That was my immediate and only thought from the ups, and although the uns are not very clear they are completely compatible with this.

The fact that in all the shots it is almost "glued" to Tufted Vetch (Vicia cracca) - the larval hostplant - or at least never far away, is a good indication. It does nectar on other plants, but any largish blue on Tufted Vetch is likely to be Amanda's.

Thanks Roger. This will be the last time I ask about Swedish Blue butterflies, until I go again that is.

All the best

I'd like to suggest P. icarus for the third one. The hue in the wings is different - the blue in the others is typical for P. amandus, while this one is more like P.icarus. Furthermore, it just happens that this one is sitting on something else. I'm not certain about this, though.
