French Moths for ID

Hi all,

I can't seem to find these anywhere, any ideas?

PS - if the brown one is not called The Phoenix or something similar, it should be!

The other ones while looking similar I think are different, but could be male and female I guess.

Thanks

Lee

Hi Lee,
The first is the micro Cynaeda dentalis, a real beauty! It's a red data book species in the UK, restricted to southern coasts.

Many thanks Guy, that's the one.

It wasn't that micro though, I'd guess 2cm long at rest as per the picture.

Certainly was stunning though!

Thanks again,

Lee
