Having only seen one site (Totternhoe Quarry) of these seemingly particularly difficult to find species I was pleased to find one or two late individuals last year at Rodborough Common but they were all very tatty.
If anyone visits Rodboro this year and sees any please post it - I usually look in the Little London area but are they around in other areas?

Re: Duke of Burgundy
Hi Mike,
We have seen them at Bison Hill Whipsnade for the last few years, they are not easy to see but you also get Grizzled Skipper and Green Hairstreak at the same time, so it is worth a visit.
Not too far from Totternhoe either.

I still live in hope of finding the Duke south of Bath, where it lingered into the late 1990s. Some of the small patches of limestone grassland about Combe Hay and South Stoke might be suitable.
