My lepidoptera paintings

I decided to start doing butterfly/moth paintings. So far I have done one, took 3 and a half hours and it was of a moth I had from pupae, a female emperor moth:

I want to do a butterfly sometime, possibly a small copper, maybe something else, have to decide

Thanks Charles. I decided to do pencil drawings as its easier than painting (this was scanned and scanner doesn't make the image look 100% as it is, it looks slightly better on actual page)
I drew a Brimstone Moth on A4 page in ladscape. I did this from a photo I had of one. One of my favourite moths. I tried a few butterflies, but not so good at those yet, need more practise.
