"Uncared-for" garden

I am not sure if I meet all conditions because I use a decoy pesticide against the iberiam slugs and rest, my garden isn't situated in any region of concern but this article has taken me: Only gardens and orchards can make possible some insect species (incl. butterflies) surviving in the agricultural countryside but neat sterile gardens can't do it.
