I have already had a warn day here in the south west which I count as a sign of spring but if you have had different please send your photos of your first sign of spring here.

Oh to be young again!!

It's midwinter, Felix! The sun may shine and insects may even venture out, but it's midwinter all the same.

Tis mid Winter, and there's all of nasty old February to get through yet. But driving under a blue sky today with the sun shining, the Downs sure looked tempting. 8)

A snowdrop was in bloom in the front garden today. I know it isn't early, there were even some a few streets away flowering before Christmas, but its still nice to see one here all the same.

Our 27 chickens, having collectively laid about 4 eggs per day up till the middle of last week when the cold snap ended, have now more than doubled their output to 9 or 10.

Think it's more to do with extended daylight to be honest but it's positive nonetheless.
