and will be announced on the home page and in the newsletter in the next few days. Happy reading!

Cheers,

Fantastic report Pete, full of lovely photos too.

I've just spent the last 4 hours reading that inbetween doing some work and going out on a visit. Brilliant!

Certainly a great location to go watching!

Cheers

Sounds like an excellent trip and an excellent location. Something I'd definitely consider myself for the future!

I did have a little look over the hotel website and it looks good and not too far from the airport. Were the roads pretty good round there? From my limited experience of greek islands 4x4 was often the best way to go, though I did take out little kia and fiat hire cars down some very dodgy roads none the less!

What sort of room prices were you paying for the hotel out of curiosity? It's not specified on the website...

Thanks in advance

John

105km from Thessalonika.

Yes. The only time you might need something other than a regular car (we had 2!) is at the end of some of the tracks up the mountains.

525 euros for a double, 420 euros for a single, for the week.

B&B. Ano Poroia (a short drive from the hotel) has several excellent restaurants where you can sit outside - and listen to the Scops Owls calling if you're lucky :)
