Dorset BC had the Brown Hairstreak egg count on Saturday 5th Dec. at Alners gorse. Hope it's a big one, no results yet. My other half was burning brush there the day after. She's a natural firestarter.

Those black fell-ponies on the site are a pain in the backside. When I was there earlier this autumn one of them insisted upon following me everwhere around the reserve, nudging me in the ribs with his nose - every few seconds. Eventually, the pony became tired of me ignoring him and nudged me extra hard in the side, casuing me to slip in the mud!

Anyway; everytime I go to Alners those ponies ruin the experience. Curse them.

Felix.

Yes, call me a softy, but I've always been squeamish about things like detonating explosives in Ponies' noses.
