Congratulations to the very worthy winners.

Geniculata's HHM was superb. I removed my best effort of this species after seeing it. Well done on another stunning shot Gary.
Pete's BBHM was also superb. A species that I am yet to see. Nice one Pete.
My other personal favourites were NickB and Antonym, but well done to all that entered. A very nice show of moths.

I think moths are quite a challenge to the photographer because during daylight hours most of them are sitting around doing nothing, and, frankly, they are pretty boring as photographic subjects. I like a story in a picture. I gave a rating of 10 to geniculata's HBHM because I thought it was perfect.

I didn't have any photos of moths actually doing anything, which is why my offering was all about texture. I didn't expect any ratings at all so thanks to those who gave it a nod!

Congrats to the winners, I got 1st and 2nd place in the same order when I voted. I chose the Hummingbird as the winner for achieving a good in-flight shot but my personal favourite was actually Colin's Burnets for its composition, colour and clarity.
