Moth ID - Cumbrian Bog

Post by m_galathea »

Moths arn't my strong point and I'm struggling to identify this large day-flying moth. Any help appreciated :D

9th July 2009, raised bog nr pine woods, Cumbria. Approx 2" long, strong flight. Unfortunately the shadow obscures the vein where it distinctly doubles back on itself.

Thanks!

I'd say Diacrisia sannio, female.
