Just faffing about on the computer while it is raining, and decided to do a bit of manipulation. I put a pen and wash effect on this old pic of a Mint moth. It's the Rembrandt in me.

Yes Charles, 'Soft construction with roadkill ', seriously good art. Not like all this unmade bed rubbish, and piles of bricks, but good organic, from the heart art. I can see that on walls countrywide. What was it before you mangled it?
I'm through posting boring old photographs, i'm gonna put some art in 'species specific'.

Or not.

hi Zonda... you are obviously a man of discernment & taste.
I prefer to use the term "transformed" rather than "mangled" but there we go....
this was a heath fritillary from france before its transformation

charli dali,
i can definitly see the direction from salvador in your latest piece but i think that the gold inlaid background has more influence from master klimt.

I like the surrealists too, but after Dali i veer towards Max Ernst, or Giorgio De Chirico. I did a Painted Lady in the style of Beryl Cook, it couldn't fly naturally.

On balance tho, i think i still prefer the pale washes and ink outline. I can imagine a well-to-do lady from the Regency period taking months to do it.

One senses that one is taking the *iss. Unless one wishes to contribute to the thread. Brush to fence might be more appropriate
![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
One might also have to make ones own calendar, if ones UKB calendar does not show up soon Grud.

its taken me literally minute's of hard slaving at the easel, but i think ive done it!
i could feel the anguish drain from my very soul and a sense total accomplishment as my latest masterpiece came to fruition.
ill call it "a clockwork silver studded blue" ( after bacon) ....sir that is, not the pork variaty.
oh no i feel my anguish returning , were's my razor, ive a sense i have one ear too many.
