Hi everyone!
After a year of getting thoroughly into butterflies (though I've had an interest in them since I was small - a very long time back) it seemed overdue that I join this forum.
It's amazing what you see if you keep going out there looking - my own unassuming corner of what was Middlesex, tucked betweeen the M25 and Heathrow Airport, has provided 21 species this year, including unexpected Purple Hairstreaks, Brown Argus and Clouded Yellows, an abundance of Small Heaths and a mass of second brood Peacocks.
Looking forward to reading about the unusual things that are out there.
Dave
