UK Butterflies 2010 Calendar

Hi all,

Thanks, once again, to Gary's (Gruditch's!) efforts - the 2010 calendar is now a "go". Butterfly Conservation were so appreciative of the monies raised last year that they're giving the calendar their full backing this year - and they'll be including a 1/2 page advertisement in the next edition of "Butterfly" in the autumn.

I've knocked up a page describing the calendar at http://www.ukbutterflies.co.uk/calendar.php

This will be announced, officially, at the next update of the website (the backlog is *BIG*!!! and the update will have to wait until I return from vacation). However, as for last year, please register your interest in this thread so that we know what kind of numbers we're dealing with and order an appropriate amount.

Once again - many thanks to Gary and everyone who has kindly contributed their photos.

Gary - I'll be ordering 3.

Cheers,

- Pete

I'll second that - many thanks to Gruditch for getting this off the ground again. I will take 3 please and ensure that the BC Sussex website carries the link again this year.

Yeah I want to have 3 too, photos look great for it. My thanks to Gruditch also! I'll let people know and the BCNI website should have a link this year, I think it had one last year as well.

 http://www.ukbutterflies.co.uk/calendar.php Better send the money before you spend it then Susie.
You can all send your £9.95 and reserve your copy's now. It may seem a bit early for a calender, but it makes it a lot easier to proses if the orders don't all come at once. When the big add goes in the Autumn issue of Butterfly, I could be in the poo a bit.

Do we send the cheque to Gruditch, and risk him going to the pub with it. No seriously, what's the process for paying. I usually buy a Countryfile one, but butterflies have given me so much pleasure this year. I'd like one too. :D

Thanks Sooz :)

I've booked a table at the AES Exhibition (Gary's ordered a bunch of calendars) and so, if you're attending, you can pick your calendar up :)

Cheers,

- Pete

Got it, thanks Dave. Could you kindly move Dave, you have the longest address I've ever seen, and I was a postman for 10 years

hah, yeah I have gotten that before...actually there are two adresses for my house and both are fine for getting post which is strange since you usually only have one address for your house.

I'm sure it will have Susie - I think Gary responded to Dave (only) because of his extraordinarily-long address :)

And ... you'll be able to pick your calendar up at the AES exhibition if you come along - since UKB should have a table (all I know is that I've paid for one!).

Cheers,

- Pete

I'm a bit late with ordering this year but can you put me down for 3, Gary? And can I transfer the money directly, as last year, to the same account (I'm especially nervous of the post these days tho prefer direct anyway!)?

No problem Mark, give me the nod here or via PM when you have done the transfer. I should still have your address. :D

I'm sure you all got the web site update from Pete today, hope you read it. As Pete said we have had a great response to the "all new" UK Butterflies stall. The total ( which may go up if I get any late orders ), that we can give to Butterfly Conservation this year will be £1422.34. That's mostly made up from sales of over 230 calendars. But at the three events we attended with the UK Butterflies stand, we also sold over 250 greetings cards, and at the National AGM we also sold some mounted prints.

So a big thank you, to all that contributed images for the calendar, cards, and prints. Thank you, also to those that actually put their hand in their pocket and bought something. :D

I would be sending the calendars all out tomorrow, but the damned printers forgot to send the flipping envelops. But you all should be getting them next week.

Kind regards Gruditch
