hi - I took a couple of rather hasty shots of this poor bedraggled buttefly, and it's the first one I've not been able to identify through your site.

any help would be gratefully welcome - thanks

Painted Lady - though it has been around for a fair while by the look of it!

A big thank you - I didn't realise that butterflies could loose so much colour. I've looked again and can now make out the markings etc, as before I think I must have been looking for a similar colour match and couldn't see anything remotely like this one. I will try and bear this in mind in the future that they can get old,tired & grey - just like me cheers once more
