Suggestions on a Swallowtail chrysalis

Hi,
I have this Swallowtail caterpillar in a pot at home and was planning to move it into a larger one today however it has now made a chrysalis this morning. I don't think it will have enough room to emerge in the pot its currently in so how can I move it to a larger pot?
The second thing is when is it likely to hatch out? Because in September I am going to Canada (where P. machaon naturally occurs) if it emerges while I am there would it be okay to release it there?
