Just found this site today & i'm glad I have !
I live in West Sussex & am married with 3 kids, always been into butterflies & wildlife, my eldest 2 are very interested in wildlife also (youngest is only a week old) & I have shown them recently how to rear caterpillars as I used to as a kid. Not sure why but i've always gone for nettle eaters like tortoiseshells, red admirals, peacocks & comma's.. with great success may I add :)
Look forward to looking through the galleries a bit more & contibuting where possible, I only have a basic 8mp digital camera or my 5mp phone camera (which is bloomin good actually) so pictures won't be as rich as some i've seen on here. I used to do alot with my old 35mm canon but found the digital age, still not sure if the camera I have now is better than my old EOS canon though..seems a bit more finickey.. anyway I'm rambling now so i'll be off..

Cheers
Steve

Welcome Steve - always a pleasure to welcome someone fostering an interest in the next generation!

As for the photos - we have all sorts here. Including a whole bunch of people who take it too seriously

Cheers,

- Pete

Hi Steve,

Welcome to the site from me too. :D
I loved your thread on Peacocks. Your children are very lucky to have a dad to show them the wonders of nature. Good for you, and thanks for sharing the photo's with us. Fascinating stuff.
