I know I should know - but does anyone know who "Réal" is with regard to Réal's Wood White? Any references would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
- Pete

In Discover Butterflies in Britain, by D.E. Newland, he saye P.Real, is the French discoverer. And searching the Web, I can find nothing else.

I found this:
http://www.nagypal.net/norge/reali.htm
reali: Named after P. Réal, Aix-en-Provence, who first described the species
under the name lorkovicii (nom. praeocc.) (in Mémoires du Comité de
Liaison pour les Recherches Ecofaunistiques dans le Jura, 4: 17).
but I can't seem to find P. Reals first name or anything about this person.
