Donuts

No, I haven't bought donuts, but a Sony 500mm F8 AF reflex lens. It's short and light and fixed aperture, and optically in a completely different league to the cheap mirrors on ebay called Centon or Sirloin or whatever. It takes advantage of the Sony's image stabilisation and, uniquely for a reflex, will autofocus. It's sharper than so called consumer grade lenses although perhaps not quite as sharp (nor as expensive!) as the Sony 'G' lenses.

The donuts? Oh yes, they are the slightly odd out of focus highlights that all reflex lenses have.
Here's some pics taken on Tuesday with it, the only day that the sun shone since I bought it.
