Summer (!) weather 2008

I'm sure we all suffered like the butterflies from the wet summer.

"Temperatures differed little from normal for the time of year but interestingly it has been a very windy summer - one of the windiest for 40 years."
I was wondering if this was the case, since even when the sun was out I found the wind ruined the few potential good days for photography that I had!
