Hey Everyone!

As butterflies are becoming far and few between, and I thought we would all need cheering up!
So I will draw you all a butterfly each!

To see some of my drawings, they are attached to my blog, here:

Hi Mouse,
Very nice. Love the Purple Emperor. If you can get someone to bring you to Fermyn Wood in Northants next July, I'll happily spend the day trying to get one to land on your finger! You might need to stick your digit in some foul-smelling shrimp paste though - but worth the sacrifice! If you get a male Purple Emperor circling you, as they often do before landing, you'll certainly be able to hear it - their wings really click!

thanks Neil

That certainly sounds like a nice place to go, its rather far away, and as I don't drive, it would mean going down into London, and coming back out again! But it will be worth it!

(it was a Lesser Purple Emporer, there are in France), But I love purple emporers too, one that I haven't come across yet!

Would you like me to try and draw you a purple Emporer?

Emily

Hi Mouse,
I'll send a photo of a PE by PM for you to draw from! Seem to remember you saying you can see stuff if you blow it up really big. Was hoping that someone (friend/family) could possibly drive you to Fermyn, otherwise the journey would be a real pain.

hi Neil

my Parents do let me use them as a taxi service unfortunatly. I just tag along when ever there are going so where of interest, otherwise its walking or train. Never understand the buses, the timetables are on a tiny board stuck to a pole, and are complicted. And I always end up miles away from where I want to be!

Okay Neil, here is the Purple Emperor, no background I am afraid, it doesn't photograph as well.
Hope you like it

Hi Mouse and Roger,
I've just sent a photo of a Duke by PM for Mouse to do her stuff on. By my reckoning the best to date is the Red Admiral, but they're all very good.

Dear Em
Thanks for the Duke.
It is a good likeness.
I am sure that you will get to see one next season - they are fabulous little things.
Still, only 6 months before I can see a real one...........
Keep Happy
Roger
