Large White head - comments welcome

Post by Dave McCormick »

I wanted to get up close with a few butterflies, and found this one resting on our buddelia plant. Close up of a large white

Image

Apeture = f/8
Exposure = 1/60sec
ISO Speed = ISO-200
Exposure Bias = -2 Step
Focal Legnth = 105mm
Metering Mode = Pattern
Flash
Handheld

what do you all think? The bush was moving a bit in wind, so I managed to get only a few shots, many blurred
Cheers all,

When you get this close your success rate will plummet even in good conditions. Quite a nice effort, I think, although you may have got a bit better DOF with f11.

Hi Dave
I just wanted to say how superb I think your Large White close up shot is! I love to try "up close and personals" like this too,but I think yours is better than my efforts so far! Again,a great job!
Regards
Deano :)

Thanks guys and eccles I think your right, when you get close enough to it (in the original pic) you can see its blurry a bit at proboscus, can't really see that on this as its just resized version of original.
