i am off to Carcers in a few days. can anyone suggest which butterflies to look out for & good locations ?

well i have managed to find some excellent butterfly sites on my own !!

i have seen about 20 new species... the most spectacular being the Great Banded Grayling ( Brintesia circe )

i will put the pics up on flickr when i return

Excellent pics, Charles! I thoroughly enjoyed browsing them.

Am I missing something or have you not had the courage to name them all yet? How are we pedants going to get our fun if we can't tut and say, 'Oh no, that's not a thingy, it's a whotsit!'?

Well done Charles.

Some brilliant shots there. I especially liked the Skipper pics. Is No P1010262 a Cardinal?

i had great fun taking the pics... most days the temperature was in excess of 100 degrees F :oops: :oops:

On the second time of looking, it seems more like a SWF. Still a fab pic.
The Skipper pics really are outstanding!
Perhaps you should put them in the photo gallery.
