What sort if Skipper is he?

Post by Sylvia Godfrey »

I took this photograph on 13th July at Haldon Forest in Devon. I know that he is a Skipper of some description but can't decide whether it's a small, large or even an Essex - because of his black tipped antennae! Can anyone assist, please?

Hi Sylvia,
I can only see half the picture ...dont know why. However, I will have to say he is a Large Skipper.
Cheers, IAC.

Many thanks for your very swift response, I'm most grateful. Apologies about the picture, it was my first posting, I shall resize any future submissions. Kind Regards.
