Switzerland

Post by Andrew R »

Hi,

I have not been around for a while due to work and the lack of time.

However I am off to Switzerland this weekend for two weeks and hope to get some nice pictures for my return.

Regards Andy :)

Ah - that's a little off my local patch, so I can't be of direct help. I live in Gryon and get out along the Rhône Valley a lot, as well as the occasional trip to the Gstaad region, but I've never gone that extra mile out to Interlaken.

If you haven't found it already, there's a good guide to the distribution of Swiss fauna, which includes detailed maps of every species of butterfly, at http://lepus.unine.ch/carto/. Go in via the Public Access, then choose Rhopalocera, then navigate to any species you want.

I look forward to your piccies when you get back! You will have a fantastic time.

Ah Gryon! The TMB route passes almost by your doorstep. :D

I have one small area on that route, which might be worth checking, if you haven't already. Then again, there probably isn't anything special by your standards.

Many thanks.

I am getting excited about the trip as I have never been to Switzerland.

Everyone who has been has nothing but praise for the high standards and the beauty of the countryside.

Well lets hope I can get some good shots with the 30 D, 100 mm Macro, 25 mm extension tube or even the beast lens the 400 mm  .

Cheers Andy :D
