Fritillary in Ireland

I took this photo a year ago in July.

I know it's a fritillary - but what kind i'm not sure. It wouldn't stay still long enough for me to take a decent picture. It seemed to have a lot of wing damage which has made identifying it quite difficult for me.
Silver - Washed? Dark - Green?

Please help!

Hi DD,

This is a female silver-washed fritillary. Even though she is rather world-weary the pattern on the underside hindwing is clearly visible (and there would be prominent silver basal spots if it were dark green) as is the pattern around the wing borders.

Great; thanks for that Guy.

It's the first Fritillary I have seen so don't have much experience identifying them and with inexperienced eyes sometimes they can all look the same!
