Heath Frit Sites: Info Required...

Over the last decade or so I have accumulated a large number of photographs and images of Heath Fritillaries and Heath Fritillary habitats, some extant and some sadly now no more.

In an attempt to rationalise this work, I would be grateful if any UKB folk could update me regarding the following colonies with specific regard to whether they are naturally occurring or whether they are introductions/reintroductions.

Hockley Wood
Thrift Wood
Bincombe
Halsecombe
Lydford Old Railway
Haddon Hill
Greenscombe/Lucket

If anyone can clarify that would be a huge help...

Bincombe - Natural
Lydford - Introduction
Haddon Hill - Natural
Luckett - Recent re-introduction

My only real doubt here is if Lydford is possibly a re-introduction .

Will be visiting Haddon Hill this coming Sunday hoping for Heath Frits given your knowledge of the site and the timing do you think we are likely to still be able to find them flying? This is my first visit and will be my first sighting - are they easy to find or confined to small specific locations?

I had good fortune down near the reservoir at the woodland edge where it is sheltered and the foodplant grows. Counts have been modest in recent years I hear and you're going at the end of the season for the Heath Frit on this site; but you could be lucky. Don't expect too many fresh specimens though...
