Hi all
there were 3 glanville Fritillaries seen yesterday at Sand Point ( nr Weston-super-mare).These are certainly part of the unofficial release from a few years back.

I may go over to Sand Point soon. Whereabouts do the fritillaries fly? Obviously I am not going to see the butterflies in October, but might the larval nests be visible?

Yes - they would be visible. However, they're actually pretty hard to find in low-density colonies (such as Sand Point), in my limited experience.

Cheers,
