How does it fly?

I saw this Peacock flying around yesterday and just wondered how much longer it was going to be able to stay airborne. I have never before seen such a damaged butterfly that could fly so well.

Hi Polly,
You can either upload the image directly (select "Upload attachment" and take it from there) or use the [img] tag and make sure the URL is an image. Looking at your entry, it seems that the link is not to an image, but a web page. You could try using a URL.

Probably not much longer. It has overwintered and attracted the attention of birds. Note how most of the damage is centred over the eye spots particularly on the hind wings. Drawing attention away from the vitals of the main body. Works well does'nt it. Alas the wings have sustained alot of damage but it is still able to pass on its genes. Incredible
