Open theme - does that mean, anything taken in April, or as in 'open' any pic taken any time?? :?

I'm sure Mike means that the competitions are no longer themed, and that all photos posted should be taken in April 2008 :)

Cheers,

Please only post photos taken during the month in question (unless the month in question has a theme)

Taken from the link which is posted with each new comp. :)

Pete is right, "open" was meant to signify returning to submitting any photo of any butterfly/stage taken during the current month. Sorry if my wording has caused confusion :)

Here's a wood white (taken on 20th April) to replace the mallow skipper:

It's a British butterfly and I didn't go abroad...

Here's my first shot for the month, and my first butterfly photo with my new camera - using a viewfinder again is going to be difficult!

I was having serious doubts that I would get anything at all this month, but I got this Orange Tip between hail showers today. :D Changed it for another Orange Tip :D

Truly stunning shot Gruditch! Not had a lot of opportunity to photograph anything this month what with 3 inches of snow last weekend!

Off to the south of France 6am tomorrow for a week so hope to get something there for sure!

No you can't go abroad, that's cheating  us five that have entered so far, are secretly hoping the weather stays bad so we got half a chance in this comp

Yep. You got that right Gary. Your picture is stunning, I totally agree with FISHiEE. Well done mate. What lens and settings did you use, just out of curiosity?

So which of my shots are banned...the ones I take when I'm in England half of the year(I'm London born and bred), or the shots when I return to what I deem as home, Spain, for the other half? :)

Martin.

Hm... ok so they have to be taken in our native country?

In was born on an aeroplane so I can qualify with any pic taken wherever it lands ;)

Given the number of jokers that inhabit these forums, newcomers could get pretty confused - so rest assured that you can enter any shot taken in the month of April 2008. Sorry to be such a prude :)

Cheers,
