It's a lovely day here in Bristol today, and I have to do chores, dagnabit!
Walking, on my way to do the weekly shop, I found a stunningly beautiful Brimstone. My first for the year (although I have seen Red Admiral's) and I didn't have my camera, cus cus.
When I got home I found a Comma in the garden, which annoyingly flew off.
Spring has sprung for me. :D :D :D

A Comma for me today...flying 20 feet up and doing about 28,000 mph!

Martin.

A super day out for me. At the local reserve I saw 8 commas, 3 peacocks and a single brimstone. There were reports of more brimstones earlier that day. To cap it all there was a pair of dippers in the stream.
One of the commas. Very aggressive and has the scars to prove it:

And one of the peacocks which had a few minor skirmishes with the above comma but stayed mainly out of trouble and was relatively intact:

Nice one eccles.
Was that at Golden Valley or Willsbridge?
