I know its a long shot, but does anyone have any Milk Parsley plants they would be willing to sell? Cheers

Hi freeway,
If you're looking to rear Swallowtail in captivity, then Fennel is more-easily available (in garden centres!).

i was told that fennel is too dry for the britsh race? have you found this to be incorrect?

Yes. britannicus do just fine on fennel - just make sure you provide growing foodplant. They'll be fine.
The advice you've been given is almost correct - I believe it's the ability for the adults to mate that is assisted by a higher humidity (hence their presence in fenland).

For what it's worth I have had great success with carrots. (That's the green part!!)
And hand pairing is your most assured method of breeding success...
