http://www.learnaboutbutterflies.com celebrates it's first birthday today, and is now one of the most popular on-line entomological resources around, with a large following in the UK and USA, and regular visitors from all over the world.The website, run by Adrian Hoskins, deals with all aspects of butterflies of the world - anatomy. lifecycle, ecology, survival strategies, habitats, conservation, rainforests, books, photography and much more, including quizzes, strange but true, questions and answers page, etc.
There are extensive galleries of butterfly photographs incluyding all the UK species, and a large selection from the Amazon, Andes, Malaysia, West Africa. More photos are being added daily, and more galleries too, including visitors galleries.
There are species accounts giving details of distribution, taxonomy, lifecycle and behaviour of over 300 species from around the world, with more added every week.
All this, plus trip reports from around the world, news of butterfly-watching holidays, in fact just about anything connected with butterflies, all thoroughly researched, highly accurate, and beautifully illustrated.
