I was sent these photos - but I'm not sure what this larva is. Any ideas? Thanks.
Cheers,

I originally thought of both Vapourer sp. and Knott Grass, but it didn't seem to be either

In my limited experience of both Yellow-tail (Euproctis similis) and Knot Grass (Acronicta rumicis) larvae have continuous rows of white and white/red markings. So I guess there's either some variability in the larvae, or the photos were taken from a particular angle where these characteristics didn't show.
Thanks Tymo / Dave.

It's a young larva of A. rumicis, and yes, it is variable in colour.
