I took these near Bergerac in FRance, late Aug 2005. I've got them all down as Common Blue, but am still wondering. Didn't make out any chequered fringes anywhere. The black rims do seem a bit prominent to me. Sadly I don't think the uns & ups are the same ones! Anyway.. any opinions most welcome

I'm fairly confident you're right, and that these are all common blues. The only one I would have had doubts about if you had posted it on its own would be number 5, which could have been Chapman's. But taken with the others I go for common.

Thanks again Guy. My impression is the French CB's appear slightly different to our GB ones, but I couldn't explain why! - probably 'cos I just feel they "might" be something else.... I've never knowingly seen a Chapman's.
