My son has just returned from a walking holiday in the Pyrenees. He snapped a few butterflies and a couple of moths because he knows I'm interested. Could somebody take a look and name them? He has named one of the moths so a confirmation of that (or otherwise) would be appreciated
Cheers Dave

4: Hesperia comma
5: Maniola jurtina (probably)
6: Macroglossum stellatarum
7: Catocala fraxini

The first two are definitely outside my skills and the third looks deceptively simple, but I'm not fooled... :)

The first is a male chalkhill blue (Lysandra coridon) and the third a male great sooty satyr (Satyrus ferula). In the second picture, the ones on the extreme left and right are both chalkhill blues. The ones in the middle could well be female chalkhill blues - though it is less common to see the females in these mineral-supping groups. Alternatively, they are Adonis blues (Lysandra bellargus). I'll have another look later - right now I have to zoom back to school to teach a maths lesson or two.
