Taken at Mill Hill Sussex. Is it a female Adonis blue?

Hi, I'm sure one of the forum experts will give you a definitive answer shortly, but for what its worth I think that Adonis blues have dark grey banding across the white margins around the edges of the wings. I hope I'm wrong as Adonis pictures are hard to come by

I think this is a female common blue. As Dave Mac says, Adonis blues have prominent chequering in the white margin of both wings, while common blue has partial half-chequering. This insect has indistinct half-chequering on the hindwing and no chequering on the forewing.

Sorry!
