Hazelmere, a few open fields nearby to me, is one of my local patches, and it has long meadow (wild flower) grassland in the summer. I only started watching it in the winter, and now it is summer i decided to go back today, to see what Butterflies were around. There were hundreds - 50+ Small white, 100+ Large white, 20+ Green-veined white, Speckled wood, Common blue, Comma, Peacock, 50+ Small tortoiseshell, 50+ Meadow brown. And Emperor dragonfly was hawking over the grassland.
